Overview
Most people know roughly what they own but have never seen it written down in one list. Asset tracking is where that list lives. Cash, savings, retirement accounts, brokerage holdings, real estate, vehicles, and anything else with real resale value, each with a current figure you entered yourself.
How We Built It
We kept entry deliberately plain. A name, a category, and a value. There is no account linking step, no institution search, and no verification screen. If you can read a balance, you can enter it, and you can change it just as quickly when it moves.
How It Works
- Pick a Category
Cash, investments, retirement, real estate, vehicles, or personal property, so the breakdown sorts itself - Enter a Value
Use the current market figure for anything traded, and a conservative resale estimate for anything else - Watch the Split
The category breakdown shows how much of your total sits in each bucket, which is often the surprise - Update When It Changes
Revisit balances monthly and slower moving items like a home once or twice a year
Benefits
Six categories covering what people actually own
Values you control, not values pulled from a feed
A breakdown that shows where your money is concentrated
Edits take seconds, so the list stays current
